A provocative documentary about the impact of erosion on coastal communities and about the relationship to nature of communities everywhere. The film starts off in New Jersey, as coastal residents begin to piece together their lives in the aftermath of the hurricane Sandy. Several coastal communities are considered, and the question is raised just how far we are willing to go in order to preserve a way of life that is ultimately doomed to be washed out to sea.
